Welcome Home, Myelle!

We were so excited to get back home with our baby girl. We were starting to miss our Kyler like crazy so it's nice to have them both in one place. We left the hospital around noon right after Myelle ate. She started screaming in the car after we pulled out so we ended up stopping so I could sit in the back with her. As long as she had her pacifier she was fine the rest of the trip.

When we got to the house, Kyler and Grandma were there to greet us. They had made a banner and got some flowers. The flowers had my first little pair of mary jane shoes attached to them. Our dog, Baxter was very interested in what we had brought home. He kept sniffing Myelle and trying to get up in her face. Kyler didn't approve of that and kept telling Baxter to get away from his baby sister. He's fairly possessive of her already - I can't imagine how her first year of high school will be with big brother watching over her.

Great Grandma Rita and Great Aunt Sherry stopped in for a visit later in the evening. Myelle was a good girl throughout the evening too. She ate and napped regularly until we started getting ready for bedtime. I got done feeding her around 8:00 and decided to head to bed a little early to catch up on sleep and prepare for waking up through the night. However, Myelle had different plans. She started waking up to eat every hour and this lasted all through the night. We could not believe how much she was eating. Kyler was also up a few times so we had a busy household last night. Finally after her 6:00 feeding she decided to stay asleep and slept in until I finally woke her up around 10:00. Unfortunately, that only meant a couple of hours of sleep for Mom and Dad since Kyler was up before we knew it.

This morning I got all of Myelle's new clothes out of the wash. It was a full load of laundry - the girl is already spoiled rotten. I'm excited to start dressing her like a little girl instead of wearing neutral/boyish clothes. I think we are stocked on the newborn and 0-3 month clothes which is awesome!
