St. Patty's Baby

My IUI was yesterday, on St. Patrick's Day. Since it was on a Saturday, Brett was there for the procedure which was a nice change. As we grabbed clothes to head to Kansas City Friday night, we didn't think twice about it and both ended up wearing green on Saturday. Weird, especially because I don't have a ton of green in my wardrobe. So we're hoping that we were lucky again and will be able to say we have a Vegas baby and a St. Patty's baby. Even though neither of us is Irish, we are hoping that we had the luck of the Irish for this cycle. We joked about how if I ended up pregnant we would have to call the baby "Pat" since he/she would have been conceived on/around St. Patty's day and we wouldn't know yet if it was a boy or a girl (like on the old SNL skit). Our hopes are up and I really really want to tell you in two weeks that we have a little Pat. :)

Oh, and the procedure went amazingly smooth compared to some of the last ones where I've had a follicle on the right. She felt around and was able to find cervix #2 without an issue at all. Much better than having 3 people and 45 minutes and possibly not even getting it in there!

I hope the luck of the Irish is with you this cycle! I love the old Pat sketches... "are you a brother or a sister?" "well I'm an only child..."
