Crawling!

Myelle is full-on crawling. She started a couple of weeks ago but for the past week has gotten FAST. It's everything I thought it would be. She is more content being able to go where she wants. I had hoped she would at least stay in the same room or a neighboring room, but no. Her favorite place to go is the bathroom. The thing that is more unexpected is how she is pulling herself up and trying to stand all the time. We thought briefly that she may skip crawling and go straight to walking because she would get into the crawling position and then go straight to a bear crawl and try to stand up. Now she crawls up to anything - chairs, couches, the bathtub, toy boxes, people, etc. - and pulls herself up. There will be many falls due to this risky behavior. I have even caught her letting go and trying to balance herself standing a few times. So I am guessing she is going to be somewhat of an early walker.

In other news, still no teeth and she is moving on to formula instead of breast milk. She is a very fussy nurser and just gets super frustrated, twists and turns, and pulls away while nursing (not comfortable for mama either!). I had also started to get lazy about pumping at work so there were some supply issues during the day while I wasn't around. We were afraid she wouldn't drink formula because of the taste but when we started last week, she did fine. So we're going to continue with it for a while and then move onto whole milk as soon as possible. (We are doing formula now because she has a bit of a cold and just got over a 2 week bout with diarrhea.) Myelle has also decided she doesn't like anything green and even gagged on a piece of green bean earlier this week. She loves meat and dairy, some fruits, and almost no veggies. She's definitely not showing signs of being vegan, and you can tell by her chub!

So cute! Can't believe how big she is getting! I can see a lot of Kyler in her facial expressions.

Funny how both of our boys were long and skinny and we have round, chubby girls. :) I wonder if she'll start losing the chub since she's on the move now! Doesn't sound like there's any stopping her.
