Our beautiful daughter entered this world and our lives on December 3, 2012. Her name is Myelle (pronounced My-"L") and she is an answered prayer. It took a lot of work and praying to get her here but she was worth the wait!
2003 - Diagnosed with a Mullerian anomaly (either septate or didelphic uterus) with two cervixes and partial septate v)
May 2008 - Got married and used the "see what happens" method; nothing happened
April 2009 - Started seeing RE; diagnosed with PCOS via ultrasound showing lots of follicles on ovaries and blood test showing low blood sugar (also had very irregular cycles while not on birth control); MRI confirmed didelphic uterus
May 2009 - IVP showed normal kidney function
June 2009 - HSG on left uterus/tube was clear, not done on right because too difficult and painful to get through that smaller cervix; start Metformin 1500mg, prenatals, and low dose aspirin
July 2009 - Cycle 1 starts; Femara days 3-7; day 10 - follicle measured 12; day 13 - follicle measured 19 and took Ovidrel that night; day 15 - IUI; starting day 17 - progesterone suppositories twice a day; day 22 - blood tests showed ovulation occurred; day 29 - BFN (big fat negative on the pregnancy test)
August 2009 - No treatment this cycle due to husband's travel schedule & our Vegas vacation
September 2009 - Had breast tenderness & nausea after eating; took pregnancy test at home that showed an error/inconclusive
October 2009 - Still had odd symptoms so took another pregnancy test - BFP!!!
May 2010 - Kyler was born
October 2010 - Stopped nursing
January 2011 - Started Metformin, prenatals, low dose aspirin
February 2011 - Started Cycle 1; labs on day 3 showed high AMH, high estradiol, slightly elevated FSH, everything else normal; Letrozole (2.5 mg) days 3-7
March 2011 - Day 12 follicle measured 13; day 14 follicles measuring 16 and 13; day 16 Ovidrel injection; BD on days 16/18/19; progesterone staring day 20; BFN
April 2011 - Cycle 2 with double dose (5 mg) of Letrozole days 3-7; day 13 ultrasound showed 2 follicles capable of releasing an egg; BFN
May 2011 - Cycle 3, right side, 1st round of IUI
June 2011 - positive pregnancy test, blood tests showed pregnancy but levels were low at first, ultrasound showed no baby or heartbeat at 6, 7, and 9 weeks
July 2011 - D&C
August 2011 - Started cycle, no treatment due to D&C
October 2011 - Treatment Cycle 4, start Letrozole (5 mg), dominant follicle measured 12.7 on day 11, measured 18x14 on day 13, Ovidrel on day 14, BFN
November 2011 - Treatment Cycle 5, Letrozole (5 mg) CD 3-7, dominant follicle on the left measured 15 x 21, Ovidrel CD 13, IUI CD 15, BFN
December 2011 - Treatment Cycle 6, Letrozole (2.5 mg) CD 3-7, Follistim injections (75 IU) CD 5/7/9/11, two follicles on the right (measured 12 & 14 on CD 10), CD 10 estradiol level was 98, Ovidrel CD 12, IUI CD 14, BFN
January 2012 - Treatment Cycle 7, Letrozole (2.5 mg) CD 3-7, Follistim injections (75 IU) CD 3/5/7/9/11/12/13/14, one follicle on right (12 on CD 10 & 12) and three on left (measured 13, 11, and 9 on CD 10; only one found CD 12 and measured 13), CD 10 estradiol level was 101, CD 12 estradiol was 272 I think, Ovidrel CD 15, IUI CD 16, BFN
February 2012 - Treatment Cycle 8, Letrozole (2.5 mg) CD 3-7, Follistim injections (150 IU) CD 3/5/7/9/11, CD 11 one follicle on left was 16.5 and one on right was 14.5 and estradiol level was 202, Ovidrel injection CD 12, IUI CD 14, BFN
March 2012 - Treatment Cycle 9, Letrozole (2.5 mg) CD 3-7, Follistim injections (150 IU) CD 3/5/7/9/11, CD 11 follicles on the right were 14 and 12.5, follice on the right was 12, estradiol was 226, Ovidrel CD 13, IUI CD 14, BFP!
April 2012 - Beta of 54 at 16 DPIUI, Beta of 178 at 18 DPIUI, Beta of 490 at 20 DPIUI, normal ultrasound at 6w2d, normal ultrasound at 8w2d - heart rate 169 and CRL 1.75 cm
May 2012 - stopped Progesterone suppositories at 10 weeks, normal ultrasound at 10w2d (measured that date exactly)
June 2012 - 13 week ultrasound, stopped Metformin
July 2012 - 21 week ultrasound
August 2012 - 25 week ultrasound
September 2012 - 29 week ultrasound, failed 1 hour gestational diabetes test, passed 3 hour gestational diabetes test
October 2012 - 33 week ultrasound
November 2012 - 37 week ultrasound
December 2012 - It's a Girl!!!
March 2014 - surprise pregnancy/miscarriage - no fertility treatments or "trying" to conceive
