A Whole New Baby

This morning I woke up to lots of cooing noises coming from Myelle's room. Normally it's a little bit of grunting, a few frustrated yelps, and then crying to be fed. Today it was all kinds of fun noises. It sounded like she was having a blast in her crib, even yelling a couple of times (and not out of frustration). When I picked her up she was even more wide-eyed and alert than normal, looking all around the room. She didn't scream to be fed right away so I held her and talked to her as she looked around. She had quite a few big smiles and even some little noises that sounded like she was trying to laugh while looking at a picture that hangs above the rocking chair. It was like I had a whole new baby this morning. It's truly unbelievable how fast they can change. This time it really was overnight. I don't think I can consider Myelle a newborn anymore. She sure doesn't act like one!
