6 Weeks

Myelle is really starting to be more social now. She is smiling and cooing occasionally and looks around all the time which makes it harder to put her to sleep at night. Sometimes she almost laughs, usually at objects like dark frames on a light colored wall. When I burp her she holds her head way up off of my shoulder with her eyebrows raised so much that her forehead wrinkles just to be looking around.

She has officially grown out of most things "newborn." She is in Size 1 diapers now and some of her newborn clothes are retiring and she is wearing a lot of her 0-3 and 3 month clothes. As a side note, we stopped using cloth diapers because any wetness for even a very short amount of time seems to irritate her. Hopefully she will toughen up in a couple of months and we can go back to cloth.

She is really confused about what I have in front of my face. Apparently I am not taking enough pictures. :)

Sleeping is still about the same. I have a hard time getting her to go to sleep for the night until about 11:30 or 12:30. She sleeps until between 4:30 and 6:00 and is usually up for a bit around 7:30 or 8:00. Then she takes some long morning naps. Some days she is awake a lot through the afternoon, usually a little crabby and wanting held. Evenings are when she is mostly awake and they are usually accompanied by crying from a gassy tummy.
