I thought it was going to be a very difficult thing to take away, but she surprised me again. The first night she cried quite a bit getting put to bed but then slept through the night. My mom didn't have much trouble getting her down for naps the next day and that night she went to bed slightly easier than the first night. So that was that, the bottles went off-limits. She is doing great now. Sometimes she doesn't even cry when she gets put to bed which is amazing. So one last baby thing is the diapers and those are not going anywhere anytime soon unless she potty trains herself. I learned the hard way with Kyler to just wait until they are ready.
Other big things lately are that Myelle is already asking "why?" when you tell her to do or not to do something. She learned this from her big brother. I told Brett I need to start tallying how many times per day I get asked "why?" It's a lot! She also responds "no" to any question she is asked, whether the real answer is yes or no. It's pretty funny and I have no idea why she does it. She's a pretty smart girl so I'm pretty sure she can figure out "yes" or "yeah." She has fallen in love with the book "Go Dog, Go!" It's the only book she will let us read. The others she wants to hold/turn pages and won't allow you to actually read the words.
She is really close to pedaling a tricycle and she has started jumping with both feet off the ground sometimes. She is also eating with a spoon really well. I let her practice with small containers of applesauce and small bowls of yogurt and her toddler spoons and she's got it down pretty well now (still needs a bib though). She's still a big fan of the outside. On nice days we spend the majority of the day outside playing in the sandbox, swinging, going on bike rides, and riding in toy cars/riding toys.
Her favorite foods are pizza, bierocks, and stromboli. Unless we're having one of those things, she usually doesn't eat a whole lot. She loves fruit, especially grapes and oranges. She isn't a big fan of vegetables. She hates potatoes and most pasta unless it is warm with a flavorful sauce. We think she still have some acid reflux issues since she still spits up occasionally and sometimes acts fussy or won't eat a lot. It's hard to tell so hopefully it's infrequent or non-existent.
Overall, Myelle is just a handful and is very hot and cold. She can be throwing one of her classic fits or crying hysterically one minute, and then she gets over it and is happy and content as can be. She loves her brother SO much but then will purposely take his toys away and throw them across the room. She's also a runner. As soon as she knows you want her to come to you, she will grin and run as fast as her (extremely short) legs can go. Such a little teaser.
My favorite things right now are her kissable cheeks and her big hugs, especially as I'm putting her to bed. I also love that she's a little parrot and will copy anything that anyone says or does. It's crazy the things she can pick up on.
